Modena is on the verge of reinforcing their defense with the acquisition of a Dutch player. The individual in question is Bryant Nieling, born in 2002, who drew attention last season while playing for Cambuur in the Dutch second division, the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
The defender, who made a total of 36 appearances and scored two goals last campaign, is expected to arrive in Italy on a permanent transfer. He is set to sign a three-year contract with the Canarini, marking his first professional experience playing outside of his home country.
Nieling developed in the youth system at Fortuna Sittard but never debuted for their senior squad. He then transferred to Maastricht, where he played 30 matches, also in the second tier, before moving to Cambuur.
