Moise Kean battling for possession in a recent international fixture.
Both Fiorentina and the Italian national team find themselves in a state of apprehension regarding the physical condition of Moise Kean. The striker sustained a right ankle sprain during the first half of the Estonia-Italy match. This occurred shortly after he opened the scoring, marking his eleventh goal for the Azzurri and his fourth in the last three World Cup qualifiers.
Medical Examinations Underway
Following the injury, Kean was notably absent from the recovery training session held in Udine. He was immediately transported to a specialized medical facility to undergo an instrumental examination. However, federal medical staff deemed the initial findings inconclusive, necessitating further assessment. The Italian forward is now scheduled for additional checks on Monday morning, October 13th. Based on these results, the national team`s medical staff will decide whether Kean should continue his therapy with the squad in Friuli or return to Florence to receive treatment from his club.

Upcoming Fixtures at Risk
It is now considered highly improbable that coach Rino Gattuso will be able to feature Kean in Tuesday`s match against Israel. In his stead, Pio Esposito, who also found the back of the net against Estonia, is expected to make his first start for the national team. Furthermore, Kean faces a significant risk of missing the crucial Serie A clash between AC Milan and Fiorentina, scheduled for Sunday evening at San Siro. Meanwhile, defender Alessandro Bastoni, who is suspended, will depart the national team camp tomorrow to rejoin his club.
