The Belgian striker, out of the squad since last year, discussed the resolution of his contract (2026) with the management.

Divock Origi made a reappearance in the Rossoneri world late this afternoon, arriving at Casa Milan. This was noteworthy in itself, as he had seemingly dropped off everyone`s radar – not just the fans, but the club too. The arrival of Tare has evidently helped re-establish contact with the `missing` striker, especially since Milan has a clear and pressing need to end their relationship with one of the biggest disappointments of the club`s third millennium.
Second Round of Talks
The forward went up to the fourth floor of Via Aldo Rossi but did not stay for long. In short: no agreement was reached. The termination of his contract, which expires in one year, was, and remains, the subject of discussion. The Belgian earns a net salary of 4 million euros, or 5.2 million gross with tax benefits. This is money Milan continues to effectively throw away. However, to part ways a year early, it is obviously necessary to find an agreement on a severance package. Such an agreement was not found today, so a second round of talks is expected in the coming days. Origi, who turned 30 in April, will need to find some common ground with the Rossoneri club if he wants to resume playing. The risk, otherwise, is a repeat of last season: out of the project and out of the squad. A year ago, he was meant to join Milan Futuro but never set foot there. Divock spent a year, excellently paid, training alone between Rome and Florence (never once going to Milanello). Milan wants to avoid wasting another 5 million euros and, in the meantime, hopes the Belgian is motivated to revive a career that was once promising.
