Pescara President Daniele Sebastiani recently shared extensive details on the club`s strategy for the upcoming transfer market, touching upon player contracts, new targets, and ongoing collaborations.
Player Contracts and New Signings
Regarding players with expiring contracts, Sebastiani addressed the situation with Moruzzi: “Juventus has a buy-back option on Moruzzi. If they decide to activate it, our hands are tied. However, if they don`t, we fully intend to extend his contract, as our goal is to prevent players from leaving as free agents.” The future of Merola is also on the agenda: “We need to discuss this with the coach, which we will do later this week.”
Sebastiani revealed a specific transfer target that has captured Pescara`s interest: “We currently have very few active negotiations, with one notable exception: we are very keen on De Boer. We plan to re-establish contact with his agent, but we will not engage in bidding wars or competitive auctions.”
The President also spoke of a desired returning player: “My dream signing for this market is Rafia. He performed exceptionally well during his previous spell with us, and I would love to bring him back to Pescara. The possibility hinges on whether Lecce makes him available for transfer.” Conversely, a move for goalkeeper Plizzari appears unlikely at present: “There are currently no prospects for a deal because Venezia has explicitly stated their intention to rely on him as their goalkeeper.”
