Paris Saint-Germain`s strong run continues: They defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 in their Club World Cup quarter-final match, securing their place in the semi-finals. The decisive goals were scored by Desiré Doué and Ousmane Dembelé in the second half. Both goalkeepers were key figures in the match, with Gianluigi Donnarumma for PSG and Manuel Neuer for Bayern making several crucial saves.
Towards the end of the first half, there was a concerning injury for Musiala after a collision with Donnarumma during a challenge. The incident looked severe, causing apprehension about whether his injury is as serious as it appeared. PSG finished the match with only nine players on the pitch after two players were sent off for what seemed like unnecessary fouls: first William Pacho, followed by Lucas Hernandez.
Desiré Doué opened the scoring in the 79th minute. PSG won the ball high up the pitch, it reached Doué, who cut inside and fired a shot across goal from the edge of the box, beating Neuer at the near post.
William Pacho received a red card in the 82nd minute for a completely reckless high tackle on Goretzka. Deep into stoppage time, Lucas Hernandez was also shown a red card for an obvious elbow on Guerreiro.
Ousmane Dembelé sealed the victory in the 95th minute. During a period of intense Bayern pressure, the forward first hit the crossbar before scoring from Achraf Hakimi`s assist to wrap up the match.
