After a lengthy absence due to a serious knee injury sustained in September 2024, Manchester City midfielder Rodri is finally back on the field. The player broke his silence on the difficult journey of recovery that kept him sidelined for a significant part of the season.
Speaking at a press conference during the Club World Cup, the Spanish midfielder expressed his immense joy at being back: “I feel very good, I`m happy to be here. It`s a fantastic tournament to start playing football again, I`m truly enthusiastic about being back with the squad.”
Rodri detailed his recovery process, emphasizing the crucial role of mental stability during the toughest months: “It was a long process, but I knew this day would arrive. I preferred to take all the time necessary. The most important thing was to stay focused and not get discouraged.”
