Preview Roma: Squad List for Bologna Match – Bailey, Pellegrini, and Salah-Eddine Out

Gasperini Unveils First Official Squad; Three Key Players Absent

Roma’s head coach Gian Piero Gasperini during the pre-season friendly match AS Roma vs Cannes at the Tre Fontane stadium.

Gian Piero Gasperini has announced his first squad list for AS Roma ahead of their match against Bologna, scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd, at 8:45 PM. Twenty players have been selected for this crucial fixture.

The main surprise, compared to earlier expectations, is the exclusion of Salah-Eddine, who will not be part of the match-day squad. The absences of injured players Pellegrini and Bailey are also confirmed. Bailey, who only arrived in the capital a few days ago, sustained a rectus femoris injury and will be sidelined for at least a month, marking an unfortunate start to his Roma career.

Aside from these unavailable players, the rest of the squad is fully at the coach`s disposal, giving Gasperini a strong foundation for his official debut on the Giallorossi bench.

Gasperini`s Squad Selection

Vasquez, Zelezny, Svilar; Rensch, Angelino, Ndicka, Hermoso, Mancini, Wesley, Ghilardi; Cristante, El Aynaoui, Kone, Baldanzi, Pisilli; Dovbyk, Ferguson, Soulé, Dybala, El Shaarawy.
