Sanremese is gearing up for a fresh start. In recent days, the club presented its new ownership structure at the city`s Casino, looking ahead to the 2025-2026 football season, which will once again see the Ligurian side compete in the Serie D championship. The new group, as previously known, includes president Alessandro Masu, alongside Antonio De Peppo, Simone Quintieri, Marcello Panuccio, Lorena Ferrari, Vincenzo Stragapede, Andrea Bortolazzi, Piera Orso, Paolo Francione, and Stefania Pulitanò. These fresh faces are set to provide new energy for the upcoming year.
While the season is technically underway in terms of planning, the immediate next step is likely the appointment of a new coach, who will be the first key piece of the new era. Or rather, the third piece, considering the earlier presentation of the ownership group as the first. And the second, you might ask? Simple: the definitive closing of the previous season, which involves the settlement of the final three months` emoluments for a portion of the squad and the technical staff. These outstanding payments are due by mid-July and are expected to be processed shortly.
Following this, all the planned new developments for the upcoming season will commence. Building upon the tenth-place finish in the tough Group A last season, the aim is to grow and improve further, to best relaunch the project with the new members and investors.
