Saúl Ñíguez`s tenure with Sevilla FC has come to an end. The midfielder, owned by Atlético Madrid, spent the recently concluded season on loan with the Andalusian side. During his spell, he made 26 appearances across La Liga and the Copa del Rey, registering 1 goal and providing 6 assists.
Saúl shared his farewell message via a post on his X profile, stating: “It was a pleasure to be part of the historic Sevilla FC. From day one, I didn`t hesitate to join them, and thanks to the affection the club showed me, I gave my all.”
Sevilla FC also released a statement regarding the departure of several players whose loan deals expire on June 30th, including Saúl Ñíguez (and Albert Sambi Lokonga). The club expressed its gratitude to both players for their professionalism and commitment during the past season where they wore the Sevilla shirt.
