Group A
While awaiting the postponed Vicenza-Pro Vercelli match (a good opportunity for Gallo`s team), Lecco momentarily claimed the top spot, but only extended their lead by a single point after a goalless draw at home against a determined Giana side. Brescia shared a similar fate, conceding a late equalizer to Virtus Verona and settling for their second consecutive draw. Three points behind the provisional leaders, after four consecutive wins, Inter U23 climbed the table. A brace from Spinaccé secured their victory against Lumezzane, who were hampered by Paghera`s expulsion after just thirty minutes. AlbinoLeffe clinched their third consecutive win, staging a remarkable comeback against Novara (from 0-2 to 3-2) with a double from Lombardi and a winning strike from Sarr. Trento squandered a two-goal lead against Arzignano, ending the match with ten men after Muca`s red card (an elbow, confirmed by FVS) and conceding a late equalizer. Dolomiti Bellunesi celebrated their first professional victory, while at the bottom, Triestina`s desperate mission gained momentum with a win against Renate, reducing their deficit to -9 (recovering 11 of their 20 penalty points).
Group C
Benevento joined the top spot, shaking off their disappointment from the draw against Picerno by defeating Trapani with goals from Manconi and Pierozzi. Salernitana, meanwhile, struggled to leave Casarano undefeated, securing a draw only in stoppage time through Quirini, after Donnarumma`s saves kept Raffaele`s team in the game. Catania failed to regain momentum, drawing their third consecutive match, a hard-fought goalless draw against Cerignola. This allowed Cosenza to catch up to 12 points (where Casarano also stands) after a narrow victory over Siracusa. Casertana`s success at Crotone was facilitated by two first-half expulsions for the home team. Cavese bounced back—and Prosperi saved his job—with a win against Monopoli. In contrast, Atalanta U23 are in crisis, defeated at Potenza by Castorani`s header, marking their fourth consecutive loss and fifth game (out of seven) without scoring.
