Sevilla FC has completed its first acquisition of the summer transfer window. The club has signed Alfonso Gonzalez, widely known as Alfon, on a free transfer from Celta Vigo. The Spanish winger has agreed to a three-year contract with Sevilla, extending until June 30, 2028, after declining a contract renewal offer from Celta.
Alfon`s move to the Rojiblancos was anticipated, as he had reportedly reached a pre-agreement with Sevilla during the previous winter transfer period. Although he joins the club effective July 1st, the official communication indicates he is a signing intended for integration into the squad for the 2025/26 season.

Alfonso González Martínez, born on May 4, 1999, in Albacete, is 26 years old and stands 1.72 meters tall. Primarily a left winger, Alfon is also comfortable operating on the right flank.
Career Path:
Alfon began his senior career at Albacete Balompié in Segunda División B during the 2016/17 season. He subsequently went out on loan twice, first to Internacional de Madrid and then to Getafe B, where he registered his first goals in the Spanish third tier.
Another loan spell took him to Celta Vigo, where he made his debut in La Liga in the 2020/21 season, featuring in two league matches and one Copa del Rey tie. Following this, Celta signed him permanently. He continued to play for the Galician club`s reserve team in Segunda B and the newly formed Primera Federación over the next two seasons, scoring twelve goals and providing five assists.
The 2022/23 season saw Alfon loaned out to two different clubs: Racing Santander and Real Murcia. He then returned to Celta`s reserve side for the 2023/24 season, enjoying a standout campaign in Primera Federación with thirteen goals and seven assists. His impressive form earned him a call-up to the Celta first team for the 2024/25 season.
In his most recent season (2024/25) with Celta`s senior squad under manager Claudio Giraldez, Alfon made a significant impact in La Liga. He participated in 29 matches across La Liga EA Sports and the Copa del Rey, scoring eight goals and contributing five assists, accumulating over 1,600 minutes in Spain`s top flight.
