The 95th-minute equalizer scored by Keinan Davis was celebrated in Udine as if it were New Year’s Eve. But the party didn`t stop at the final whistle—it continued afterward, a fact almost unique in today`s football landscape where interactions between players, coaches, and staff are increasingly sporadic, or only organized within the formal confines of sponsorship events. In Udine, however, things are different.

For the second time this season, Technical Director Gokhan Inler, who has often promoted open training sessions, escorted two players—the heroic 40-year-old goalkeeper Daniele Padelli, who made a memorable return to the pitch, and winger Hassane Kamara—to join the supporters for an informal “third half.”

The menu was rich in local delicacies, featuring the inevitable San Daniele ham and traditional frico, along with sausages, burgers, meatballs, cheeses, and even a glass of wine. This spontaneous celebration delighted the invaluable fans who truly experience the match as an all-day party: before, during, and after the game.

This initiative is inspired by the spirit of “Poma,” the club`s speaker and an influential figure among the Bianconeri faithful. This tradition had already begun in November following the victory against Atalanta. During that event, Inler, goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, and captain Jesper Karlstrom participated, shaking hands and sharing a post-match snack with the supporters.
