“This isn`t a project solely by Pasini, but rather one for Brescia. We aim to bring serious and modern football back to this city.”
This powerful statement marked the opening of Giuseppe Pasini`s address during the official unveiling of Union Brescia. The new football club has been established through the relocation of Feralpisalò, stepping in to succeed Massimo Cellino`s Brescia, which, in the most optimistic scenario, is set to restart its journey from the Eccellenza league.
Pasini elaborated on the initiative, stating, “Many entrepreneurs have demonstrated immense enthusiasm for this project, and that is truly gratifying. We have dedicated significant effort and unwavering belief in this endeavor. Our objective is a three-year plan designed to reinstate Brescia in Serie B; following that, we will assess the best course of action and partnerships. Naturally, achieving this sooner would be even more advantageous.” He emphasized the core philosophy: “In football, victory isn`t solely determined by financial investment, but by superior organization. We are committed to revitalizing our youth sector, building upon the strong foundation inherited from Feralpisalò.”
Pasini then extended a thoughtful message to both the Feralpisalò (Gardesani) and Brescia supporters. “I wish to convey a special greeting to the Gardesani fans, who have provided us with fifteen years of steadfast support. My hope is that they will extend the same support to Union Brescia. I feel an enormous sense of responsibility; I haven`t slept much in recent weeks,” the entrepreneur confessed. He added, “I believe the city feels wounded, but I must reiterate that I choose not to dwell on the past. I simply believe that when one door closes, a greater one opens. From this current challenge, something entirely new and positive can emerge. The fanbase isn`t fragmented, though there`s a minor faction of supporters who contend that we are merely Feralpisalò`s new identity. I am uncertain who in the Curva Nord might oppose our arrival.”
The discussion then shifted to the crucial matter of the club`s official brand. Pasini clarified, “There are two distinct brands available: one associated with Corioni and another with Cellino. We intend to acquire the Corioni brand; the sporting title, however, is a separate and distinct matter.”
