It`s official: Walter Guerra, the seasoned defender, has completed his anticipated move to Crotone after six years with Picerno. The deal, which had been widely reported, confirms Guerra`s arrival in Calabria, bolstering the “Pitagorici” squad.
The 1992-born left-back has put pen to paper on a one-year contract. This agreement with Crotone includes an automatic renewal option that could extend his stay until June 30, 2027, provided certain performance-related or club-specific conditions are met.
Crotone Football Club formally announced the acquisition via a press statement from the Vrenna family`s club. The announcement highlighted that Guerra, originally from Aversa, will be reunited with coach Longo. The pair previously worked together with considerable success at Picerno between 2022 and 2024. During his extensive six-season tenure at Picerno, Guerra consistently demonstrated his prowess, establishing himself as one of the most effective players in his position.
