Figc, Miele demands CONI intervenes: "Proceed with receivership"

October 4, 2026Diego Herrera1 мин

Lawyer Renato Miele has formally notified CONI, its Executive Committee, and its Council via certified email. He insists they initiate the receivership of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). Miele argues this is a legal obligation given the undeniable serious breaches of sports regulations by FIGC's leadership organs during the election of the federal president.

The notice states that if this action is not taken, Miele, who was an unsuccessful candidate in the FIGC presidential election on June 22nd, will be compelled to approach competent administrative and judicial authorities to safeguard his interests.

On October 6th, the FIGC's Executive and Steering Committees are scheduled to convene to determine the legitimacy of Giovanni Malagò's election as FIGC president.
