Gennaro Gattuso is eager to resume his work with the Lazio squad. "We haven't been together for 20 days, and I can't wait to get back to work with everyone," he stated on the club's official channels. "We hope to pick up where we left off."

The team faces Monza upon the league's return after a long pause for international fixtures. Gattuso warns against underestimating them: "Monza is an opponent to be cautious with because they are fearless. We need to prepare well. Against them, if you don't play at full intensity, you'll struggle; they have drive and physicality. It will be a match that requires thorough preparation against a team to be respected."

Reflecting on the 3-3 draw against Juve Stabia, Gattuso admitted the team found it difficult. "We were coming off three days where our legs felt heavy. We were a bit off, and we were missing eight important players. However, the key is to do things properly."

Regarding the league break, Gattuso acknowledged a slight dip in adrenaline. "Those who went on international duty gained playing time. I've stayed in touch with the players who left. The only one we were unlucky with is Gudmundsson; we hope to get him back as soon as possible."
