Harry Kane Sets New Bundesliga Record with 100th Goal in 98 Games

Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane reached his 100th Bundesliga goal on Sunday at the Allianz Arena. He achieved this in his 98th league match, breaking the previous German record held by Dieter Müller of Köln in the 1970s.

At the 38th minute, Kane converted a penalty after Michael Olise was fouled in the box by Union Berlin defender Tom Rothe. Kane sent goalkeeper Frederik Rönnow the wrong way to score Bayern's second goal, following Jamal Musiala's opener in the 18th minute.

Since joining Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023, Kane has finished as the Bundesliga top scorer in each of his three seasons. He scored 36 goals in 2023-24, 26 in 2024-25, and another 36 in 2025-26. He also secured the European Golden Shoe twice, in the summers of 2024 and 2026.

This season, Kane began his Bundesliga scoring account last week at Elversberg, netting the winning goal in a 2-1 victory for Bayern.

Across all competitions, Kane has accumulated 154 goals in 151 appearances for Bayern in just over three seasons.

Before Kane, the record was held by Dieter Müller, who needed 129 games to reach 100 Bundesliga goals for Köln in the early 1970s.

Comparing this achievement to the top five European leagues, only Cristiano Ronaldo reached 100 goals faster. He did so in 92 games for Real Madrid in Spain's La Liga in the early 2010s.
