August 8, 2026Carlos Mendoza1 мин

Franco Mastantuono has arrived in Florence, Italy, in anticipation of his medical examinations and the official signing of his contract with ACF Fiorentina. The young Argentine player, born in 2007, was warmly welcomed by approximately 500 supporters upon his arrival in the city. The final details of his transfer from Real Madrid have reportedly been settled.

Mastantuono is set to undergo his medical assessments before officially putting pen to paper, marking the beginning of his journey in Italian football with the Viola. His arrival is considered a significant acquisition for Fiorentina's current transfer campaign. The agreement is understood to be a dry loan from Real Madrid, with Fiorentina covering half of his reported €1.8 million salary, while Real Madrid will handle the other half. Real Madrid had previously invested €63 million in the player a year ago. This loan structure allows Fiorentina to integrate the talent while Real Madrid continues to share the financial commitment.

The club has been undergoing a significant summer rebuild under head coach Fabio Grosso, with substantial investments made in strengthening the squad. Prior to Mastantuono's arrival, Fiorentina had already secured notable signings such as midfielder Arthur Atta for a club record €40 million from Udinese. The midfield has seen considerable reinforcement with the additions of Christ Inao Oulaï for over €25 million from Trabzonspor, as well as permanent deals for Marco Brescianini and Giovanni Fabbian. The defensive line has also been bolstered through loan deals for Radu Drăgușin (Tottenham) and João Mário (Juventus), and Álex Jiménez, along with permanent signings Víctor Valdepeñas and Viery.

The immediate next steps for Mastantuono involve completing his medical examinations and signing his contract, confirming his move to Florence as the next stage in his career.
